WebMy first suggestion for someone who seriously wants to become a gunsmith is look into a real gunsmithing school. In my opinion the online stuff is a joke. I went to the Colorado school of Trades in Lakewood, CO. It is one of the biggest and oldest gunsmithing schools in the country. It is a 14 month program if i remember correctly. A lot depends on what type of work you will be doing. The tool list I have would work great for an all around/general gunsmith and perhaps a rifle builder.
